Hello. I am trying to sync from Ankiweb to Ankimobile and keep getting the message, “Your Anki client does not support the new timezone handling yet. Please ensure your Anki is up to date”. I have read that this issue has been resolved by downloading the latest version but I already have the 2.1.56 Qtc version which I believed was the latest. Also, I don’t have the scheduling option in my preferences. How could I fix this issue? Any help is appreciated!
You probably have an old 2.1.15 version from your distro lying around that you’re running instead of the version downloaded from the Anki website. I suggest you ensure the distro package is removed, then try install from the Anki website again.
I have searched my Chromebook, and I don’t believe any other version exists. This was the first time I’ve downloaded Anki.
Well you can check which version you are on, Anki

(or something similar)
it should display similar values like this one (im currently on RC1, hence why the 2.1.57)
Version 2.1.57 (5cdfa7a6)
Python 3.9.15 Qt 6.3.2 PyQt 6.3.1
in any case, only download from these sources
