When I create a cloze cards for language learning, which is the recommended direction for those cards?
The main sentence in my mother tongue and the hint in the language I study, or the main sentence in the studied language and the hint in my native language? Or should I create cards in both directions?
I am at B2- and C2-level in the languages I study, if that matters.
Bidirectional is only useful in the beginning. After that, you should use TL → NL (target language first). At higher levels this should become TL → TL.
That is, if you already know a synonym, in the target language, to the word in the cloze you should use that as the hint rather than a word in your native language?
