Update Anki from 2.1.44 to 2.1.49

Hi,
dae advised me to update the devices because of the sync problems (Select collection to keep. The collections can't be combined).
I can update Anki Desktop from 2.1.44 to 2.1.49.

Is it recommended to make a copy of all accounts in
C:\Users\Anastasia_2\AppData\Roaming\Anki2
beforehand or to export every account (as Anki Deck Package *.apkg with media and scheduling information) in Anki Desktop with all desks, before you begin with updating?

My laptop (Windows 8) is somehow older, has now Anki 2.1.44 (b2b3275f).
The last Anki release that supported Windows 8.1 was Anki 2.1.49.

Both methods should work, I personally prefer a manual copy, it’s faster if you use freefilesync, syncthing, fastcopy or similar.
