Unable to upload my first add-on: "account is too new"

Hi,

I’m trying to publish my first Anki add-on, but I receive the message:

“Sorry, your account is too new for this action.”

My AnkiWeb account is not new. It was created around August 2025, and I’ve been actively using it ever since. I regularly sync my collection between Anki Desktop and AnkiMobile using this account.

Could someone please check if there’s a restriction on my account or if this is a mistake?

I have found the AnkiWeb account created in 2025 that uses the email address you used to post here. Before I look into this further –

  • Is that the account you’re logged in with in that browser when you’re trying to publish the add-on?
  • Have you tried clearing the browser cache and cookies for ankiweb.net, and logging in again?
