I’m a new user of Anki. I have created an account on Ankiweb. I’ve created a deck of about 84 flashcards on my desktop. When I click Sync on the desktop nothing happens. I do not get the option to upload or download and no flashcards are uploaded to Ankiweb. There is no error message.
How do I get the two to talk to each other?
You should be prompted to provide your account details on the first time you click Sync:

After that, clicking Sync should sync your changes to AnkiWeb without further actions on your part, unless when a full sync is required (this happens when making certain changes, but making decks and cards is not one of them), then you will be asked to choose between uploading to AnkiWeb or downloading from it.
No, I don’t get that screen or anything else. I don’t remember if I got it before. But there must have been some linkup in the past because Ankiweb lists the name of my deck, but it’s empty. It has no cards.

Go to Tools > Preferences > Network and click Log out, then click Sync again and enter your account info and try syncing.
