Unable to Delete Note with Macro

In the browser, I’m able to delete notes by going to notes>delete, but the macro for it isn’t working. Nothing happens when I press command and delete. This is a MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.13.6 and I’m using Anki 2.1.43.

The macro works fine in Anki 2.0.52, so I’m at a loss as to what might be causing this problem.

The shortcut is Cmd+Forward Delete. Maybe you are pressing backspace without also pressing the Fn key?
