Tried Everything, Importing Deck without Skipping Cards. Please Help

What I’m trying to do:

  1. Keep my original MAIN deck with all cards in their specific subdecks (unchanged)

  2. Import studied cards (with their scheduling history) as separate cards.

  3. So I end up with both versions - the original organized cards AND the studied cards

The problem:

  • When I try to import the studied cards (.apkg file), Anki skips them because it detects them as duplicates of cards already in my MAIN deck

  • Even though I want both versions to coexist, Anki’s duplicate detection prevents this

  • The import summary shows cards being skipped rather than imported

What I want:

  • Both sets of cards to exist side by side - my original organized deck stays completely intact, No disruption to my existing deck organization

  • The studied cards get added as separate entities with their scheduling history preserved

This is the setting I have when importing them:

This is the cards I need which are getting skipped:

I expect this is where you’re running into trouble. But first – scroll down the post-import “Details” to find those notes and hover over them to see the reason they were skipped.

You ordinarily won’t want to create duplicate notes/cards, for a number of reasons. There can be ways around that, but to suggest which might work for you, it would help to know what you’re trying to accomplish with this. There might be a better way to get where you’re going, perhaps without duplicates.
