The buttons good, hard etc seem to have no effect at all. Cards are not being repeated/ spaced repetition just goes through the cards, when I’ve completed all the cards it says all cards complete and I cant even start a custom study. SOMEONE HELP!! I’m quite new to Anki but when I first got it everything was fine, I don’t know what happened.
It sounds like you’re already familiar with the basics that some cards will be due, some cards will be repeated, and some cards won’t – Anki's not showing me all my cards! - Anki FAQs .
Are you asking about New cards that are introduced into Learn and Review cards that lapse into Relearn? Whether and when those repeat is controlled by your learning/relearning steps. What do you have set for those on the Options preset for the subdeck the cards are actually in?
Anki won’t even open anymore .I give up this is too hard.
It’s up to you whether you want help or not. 
Okay, what cards are behaving incorrectly on those steps? You can look at the Card Info for a specific card to see why it is being scheduled the way it is. Show us a card that did something unexpected, and we can talk about why.
Especially since you have multi-day learning steps (which as you can see, isn’t recommended with FSRS) – make sure you understand what you should expect as a card advances through those steps. Deck Options - Anki Manual
