First of all, a big thank you, I loved your cities and birds decks!
Are there any plans to add other languges (specifically Spanish) to this deck? If not, how would one go about it?

Glad you like my decks. Spanish is already added as a language. Do you mean you want more translations? There are a lot of missing translations for all languages (even some with only scientific name). You can find those with a Spanish translation using Spanish:_*.
The translations are gathered by EOL, mostly from Wikidata where many vernacular names are missing. I don’t think there is a better resource for vernacular names in different languages of species as EOL would have otherwise used it. But you can fill out the fields yourself and maybe add a link to the card template to make it easier to find e.g.:

Hi,
First of all, I love these deck, but have to say, some images are changing.
I mean for certain cards images are added/deleted on inaturalist. So some links are not longer available.
Would it be possible to share the scraper code, so that manually I could refresh my decks?

Can you name an example? Are there multiple instances where the images are removed from iNaturalist?
The code is already referenced in the description, but it takes a while to run with the API limit, so maybe it would be better if I could update it for others also.

Im currently in the process of localizing the media, that’s how i ran into multiple instances, this is just one case.
And thanks for pointing out, I overran the mention of the code.
In the latest verison, Philodromus auricomus has one image and the url is still working.
On the iNaturalist taxonomy page this is also the only image without “all rights reserved”, so I don’t see the problem with this note.

I downloaded earlier, and forgot to update. I had to updated with the newer version. Thank you for pointing out, and maintaining this deck. This resolved my issues

Thank you so much for your work! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. I was thinking of making my own bird list, but I always end up wanting to cover more and more, and I realized it would take me way too long to add all the birds from a book haha, or from eBird for example. While searching for information, I found your decks on Reddit.
These days I don’t have much time to look into it further, but I have a couple of questions (for now haha—I hope I can take some time to better understand how Anki works):

I’d like to figure out how to create a separate deck with only Chilean birds. When I first used your deck, I got general info about Struths, but when I tried studying by selecting cards tagged with Chile, they appeared randomly.

You can maybe use an addon like the one below to translate the entire text. I haven’t tried this addon, but I’m guessing you would create a second field for your language and translate each field to that. But note that the species names will not be translated correctly like this.

If by struths you mean the tinamou, they are supposed to be in the Chilean deck also. There are 378 common species. You can also change the order of the new cards so it is random and you don’t learn them in taxological order.
However, if 378 species is too many “common” species, you can use the tool by Punteney as described on the deck page to filter only local birds seen recently.
