The deck contains 2,200 Anki cards designed to help users study American English pronunciation.
Each card includes multiple sentences for each word, but only one (chosen randomly) is displayed at a time. On the front, a sentence features a highlighted word that the user needs to say aloud. It is advisable to say the word first, followed by the entire sentence.
After revealing the back of the card, the user will see the IPA transcription of the word and hear its pronunciation. They will then hear the pronunciation of the entire sentence. To replay the word’s pronunciation, they can click on the IPA transcription. To replay the full sentence, they can click the ‘
’ icon. To reveal the spelling of the word, they should hold the Alt (Option) key and click its IPA transcription.
Each card also includes additional useful information. To access the phonemic chart and hear individual phonemes, the user can click “Phonemic Chart.”
Additionally, the cards provide links to external resources that aid in studying the word, such as PlayPhrase, YouGlish, WhatPoliticsSay, macOS Dictionary, Cambridge Dictionary, Oxford Dictionary, and DeepL Translator.
