If I have downloaded a shared deck of, say, 100 cards, but I don’t want to study them all at once; I want to pick, say, five of the cards that go along with a lesson from another resource that I’m currently working on . How do I select those five for review and ignore the other 95, until I come back to them to select some more? Everything that I’ve tried isn’t working. If this question has been asked and answered before, please direct me to that post.
Edit to add: I am working both on a PC and on an Android phone.
Select the 95 you don’t want, and suspend them with – Cards > Toggle Suspend – Browsing - Anki Manual . None of them will be introduced in your study until you unsuspend them. That will sync and work on both platforms, but it’s probably easier to do on your PC.
If it’s more convenient to study those 5 integrated with your other cards, you can also them to your other study deck, or make this new deck a subdeck/sibling deck to your other study deck.
Select the 95 you don’t want, and suspend them with – Cards > Toggle Suspend – Browsing .
The problem was that I don’t have a “Cards” option to tap, so I couldn’t follow your instructions.
In the “silly me” department, I wish I had written down the procedure that I did use, because I need to use it again, and I have forgotten it… I can pull up all the suspended cards, but I can’t select individual cards that I want to unsuspend.
