Shortcuts involving Ctrl not working properly in the Browser Search Bar

I’m having issues with any text-editing shortcuts involving Ctrl when using the Browser Search Bar. For example, Ctrl+Delete to delete the whole next word after the text cursor position, or Ctrl+Home to jump to the very beginning of the text string.

I only notice this issue in the Browser Search Bar. Other text input fields, such as individual fields of a card within the Browser or the Add/Edit windows are all fine.

Even starting in “safe mode” w/o any add-ons, I still have this issue. I can replicate this on another device (that device also couldn’t use Ctrl-based shortcuts even without add-ons loaded in “safe mode”).

Ctrl-based shortcuts are working for other applications.

Anki version 25.09.2 (Windows 10).

Can confirm. For me Ctrl+Delete does not work but Ctrl+Backspace does work.

It’s not a regular field. It’s a field with a drop-down list. That might be why. But I don’t use that delete feature. And Ctrl+Home jumps to the beginning of a paragraph, whereas here it’s just one line, so you just need to press Home.
Basically, you can live without paying much attention to it.

I guess, but I often like to have shorter search queries at the beginning so I can easily edit them, which, for me, is natural to do by doing “Ctrl + Home → Ctrl + Delete”. I will often search for a group of related tags, so that search string becomes very long and unwieldy, so I usually have them at the end of the string, which is why I don’t like using “End”.
