Hello, I am wondering how to set the limit so I get a new card every other day? also, how would I need to set the maximum review limit for this to work?

Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think this is possible.

Back in 2017 @glutanimate had made an add-on for exactly this purpose for Anki 2.0 called, " Limit New Cards to Less Than One."
Unfortunately, Anki 2.0 is no longer supported so I can’t find a way to use this add-on.
Does anyone know a compatible add-on for Anki 2.1? If not, would anyone be willing to create a working add-on for commission?
My use case: as a teacher I am using Anki for my grade school students and adding one new card per day is too rigorous for them. If I could only add a new card every 3 or 4 days this would save me a lot of time by not having to manually do this.
