Server hello syncing error

I am getting the following error when I try to sync

Syncing failed:

‘[Errno 1] _ssl.c:507: error:1407742E:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:tlsv1 alert protocol version’

Previous responses to this were to update the app. I’ve been on the Anki website and downloaded the latest version for my mac and I continue to get this error. Can you please help me resolve this issue?

That error indicates you’re still running the older version - you may have multiple versions installed. If you’re on Windows, try deleting c:\programs files (x86)\anki.
