When you click Config in the Add-ons window, the JSON has indent, but the file is stored with no indent.
The configuration is opened in a plain editor within Anki, with no highlighting or anything. I like editing the configuration with an external editor, but then I have to copy it from that window, or run the file through a JSON formatter.
It might be better if the file was saved already formatted. Although looking the file up is less convenient than copying…
