I had to wipe my computer which caused me to have to redownload Anki. However, everything was backed up though in AnkiWeb and I just needed to log back in. However, now I have a glitch where when I click reveal answer for cloze, the answer flashes, but then reverts back to the original […]. Then, it wants me to rate the card as easy, good, hard, again when I haven’t seen the actual answer. I try to click reveal again but nothing happens, and I have to click undo card for it to reset. It is not consistent when it happens. It can be 5x in a row or 1 every several cards. I have re-downloaded Anki 2x now, re-downloaded JoyToKey (for my remote programming) thinking it may have been that. This has not changed anything. It seems to be something wrong with the Anki application itself because the glitching even happens when I use the keyboard on my computer without any remote. I have also tried to switch between video drivers, and it still happens. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Try the Troubleshooting Checklist – #6 video drivers. That’s usually the culprit for issues like this.

I’d still want to hear confirmation that they tried all of them, and restarted after each switch. Fresh install on a wiped computer, inconsistently showing fronts/backs of cards – everything points to a video driver problem.
In the “About Anki“ menu could you “Copy debug info” and paste here? It might help. I’m presuming from the re-installs you have tried disabling your addons?
I changed the video driver to Software, and I am no longer having issues with the glitch. It is a little slower now to respond to clicks on my remote, but I’ll take it. Thank you all for helping me.
Fair enough. As it turns out, you were right to hypothesize that OP didn’t do that thoroughly.
