I often resize the Browser window based on my workflow. For instance, may have the Browser window on a vertical (portrait) monitor when it is important for me to see the full list of Notes, or I might have it on a horizontal (landscape) monitor when I need to see the full rows of just a few Notes.
An issue with this workflow is the size of the Note pane. If I resize the Note pane (any Layout) for being comfortable in one orientation (horizontal or vertical) then it is unsuitable for the other orientation. Even worse, resizing it requires using the mouse, which I rarely use.
I suggest that the Browser window remember the size of the Notes pane per window size. That way I could configure it once for the vertical monitor, once for the horizontal monitor, and be done with it.
A parallel suggestion, that might also help, would be a keyboard shortcut to toggle the Notes pane (hiding the Notes pane, like when multiple Notes are selected).
