I think I really messed up after reinstalling AnkiDroid. I had 4 decks before reinstalling Anki due to a bug. Anki said it could not merge the droid and web version, so I had to chose one to replace the other (I went with the Droid version). 3 of my decks are now gone and it looks like the progress I made on my 1 remaining deck is gone. Is there anyway to salvage this?
When you uninstalled AnkiDroid, if you were using a recent Play Store version, your collection was stored in restricted storage, and uninstalling the app deleted all of your data. I don’t think there’s any way around that. [Were you using a non-Play-Store version? Or a non-updated version? Then you might have some other options.] When you reinstalled, you would have had an empty collection on AnkiDroid, so when you set up syncing, the right choice would have been to download your collection from AnkiWeb.
But have you been keeping your collection synced to AnkiWeb before this? I ask because I’m looking at your AnkiWeb account (for the email address you used to post here), and there are no recent server-side backups. That’s usually a sign there has been no recent syncing activity. If you didn’t sync your collection to AnkiWeb then I’m sorry to say we can’t do anything to recover it for you.
