I hope Browse can offer a completely new mode that coexists with the current mode and can be switched between them.
Currently, the workflow is that clicking an item on the Browse page first opens the Note editing page, where you can choose Preview or other actions.
The alternative workflow I hope for is that clicking an item on the Browse page directly opens the Preview page (by default showing the back side), from which you can choose to enter Note editing or perform other actions.
Personally, I would use the second mode more often, because I never create or modify cards on my phone. For compatibility, the mode could be selectable in the Browse options.

The current workflow is indeed sub-optimal. The plan is to tackle this as part of an upcoming UI-rework.
