Problem with new card learning steps

I’ve recently changed computers and am having trouble returning to my old anki settings. I used to be able to press the 1m or 10m intervals and this would add my Anki card to the learning/ red section straight away then I would be tested again in one or 10 minutes unless I had no other learning cards, then I would be tested maybe in 5 minutes. I could see the anki card waiting for me in the learning section. This was great because I tend to do all of my Anki at the end of the day, and I knew how many cards I had left. Now what happens is when I press 1m or 10m intervals the card will disappear for either 1m or 10m (not visible as a review, new card, or in the learning section), then after the 1m or 10m interval passes it’ll become a learning/ red card. I really would like to change it back to the old way does anyone know how? All of my deck settings have remained the same, but for some reason this has changed.

It doesn’t appear on that red counter because it is not ready to be studied again yet. It sounds like you (or an add-on you recently enabled?) reduced your Learn Ahead limit.

You can find that in Preferences > Review. The default is 20m, but anything that’s longer than your learning step(s) will work.

Legend. Thank you.
