When I try to copy the text in my Microsoft PowerPoint slide into an Anki deck it pastes the text as an image as if I just screenshotted the text. I am not sure what the problem is.
This happens because PowerPoint is adding the text as an image to the clipboard. Anki sees an image in the clipboard, and prioritizes that over text. Perhaps one way you could work around it is to use LibreOffice Impress?
Yeah, the way I am currently working around it is pasting the text into Microsoft Word and then pasting it into Anki, but it’s just a bit more tedious so wondering if there is any setting/Add-on on Anki to avoid this problem. Thanks for your help!
I’m afraid it’s not currently possible to customize what happens when an image is in the clipboard. You may want to give Impress a go as mentioned above, as it may work around the issue.
Did you ever figure this out? I just switched from PC to mac and am having this same issue for the first time…
