The new update to Anki (v2.1.29) keeps the text format when copying and pasting into fields when creating new notes. Can you add a feature ‘Paste as plain text’ so all text formatting is removed?

you can use ctrl+shift+V to do that.
if you want ctrl+V to remove formatting, you can go to Tools -> Preferences and enable Paste without shift key strips formatting
