I got an updated Mac and needed to update the anki app that is more compatible . When I was trying to sync it says that I am an outdated client, I saw to fix this you need to update anki so I did and it is still saying that. Not sure how to fix this, could not find any more info.

That is the same place I used to update so it was not a copycat
Are you using the AnkiHub add-on? That seems to be causing this for some users lately. Updating the add-on is usually the fix for this.
