Not Detecting Duplicates

Hi All.

I’ve seen a few messages about problems with detecting duplication when you create a card. In one case, the problem was that the duplicates were different note types. That’s not true for me.

I followed all the steps (https://faqs.ankiweb.net/when-problems-occur.html) suggested by a response to another person, but none of them work.

As with others, it seems to have correlated with upgrading to the newest version. I tried to go back to a previous version, but it says my account is not compatible with the last stable version.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Could you put a sample of notes in a new deck and export it using File > Export (choose the .apkg format) and then upload it somewhere so we can test it?

You can use https://gofile.io/uploadFiles to upload the deck.

Or just post the content of a couple of your notes here (the export option is preferable to this).

Hi,

I was able to figure out how to go back to an older version of ANKI. That seems to work.

It affects all my decks.

I am under a bit of pressure for an upcoming major exam so I’m just going to try to stick with the older version of ANKI. I’ll stick with this older version until the next update and then try again.

Thank you for your help.
