New cards' due number is wrong

I’ve had this problem since last year at least and still don’t know what the issue is. Some of the new cards don’t have the due number they should and I end up learning newer cards first. I usually “fix“ it temporarily by changing new cards insertion order to random and then back to sequential. The second image is my deck settings.

Their sort order is messed up for some reason. You can change the display order in the browser by clicking on the titles of the columns (e.g. “Due”) then by selecting all the cards you can right click and reposition them.

Make sure the display order is the order you want them to appear in.

I want them to appear in the order they were created but the due number is off many times. Some cards get numbers close to #10000 and those end up first when learning new cards.

You can add a date created column and change the display order to it. Does that show the cards in the correct order? If yes, then you can reposition them.

The display order I use in the browser is date created. The problem is not about the browser, it’s about new cards getting wrong due date/number when created.

Have you run Tools > Check Database lately? Try that. Your New-queue might need a bit of adjustment.

Yes, I’ve made a few database checks lately. Could this happen because of another deck with lower new card due numbers (between 5000 and 10000) than the one I posted above? I noticed some of the new cards in the main deck getting due number close last cards on the second deck I mentioned. I’ve tried repositioning all new cards across all the decks now so I’ll make an update later.

This seems to have worked, thanks for the assistance.
