I have searched HIGH and low, done it all, and alas, I am at a loss… for reference, this also randomly started a week ago.
When I make a card in either AnKingOverhaul or AnKingOverhaul+ and add a cloze with the hint built in (ex: {{c1::content::hint}}), the hint does not show up when I am in “Study Now” & only appears when it turn off & on “back side only”… & even then, it doesn’t work in “Study now” mode.
I also don’t know why when it works, the cloze is blue vs. green…
For this card, I have written it like:
{{c1::Propofol}}: Site of Metabolism
{{c2::CYP liver enzymes::class}}
{{c2::CYP2B6,CYP2C6,UGTHP4::specifics}}
When I go to “browse”, select this card with the cloze2 & hints, and select “Preview”, it looks like this, which is how it looks in “Study Now” mode:
I have done everything I can think of. I have completely deleted the app, removed all history of it & cleared all of the cache, redownloaded the newest version of Anki, redownloaded all of my add ons… & it is still randomly deciding to do this…

Something is wrong with your custom note types. Since this is an AnKing/AnkiHub note type, you should talk to them if you want to try to fix it directly.
Or you can simply replace it with fresh copy of the original note type, change these notes to use that note type instead, and delete this broken note type.
