Maximum review limit using FSRS mode

I recently started using the FSRS mode, but am having some difficulty with the settings in terms of maximum review and new cards being shown. I am using a premade deck by one of my classmates that has many subdecks in it, and even though my max review is set to 9999, it’s telling me “Today’s review limit has been reached, but there are still cards waiting to be reviewed. For optimum memory, consider increasing the daily limit in the options.”. When I click into the gear icon on the specific subdeck I’m currently studying, it says the max review limit is 9999, but still telling me there are cards waiting to be reviewed and that my limit has been reached. The subdeck only has about 60 cards in it, but I am studying 8 subdecks with 60-100 cards in them each and they are all unsuspended and under the main deck that also has 9999 set as max review limit. I also have “New cards ignore review limit on” so that the new cards I’m unsuspending don’t impact my review limit.

Am I missing something here?

There are a few different versions of the Congrats screen message. If that’s the exact text you’re seeing [is it?], it’s possible it’s not conveying exactly the right thing.

  1. When you get this message, I’d be interested in knowing whether you’re able to find the cards it’s talking about – for instance by searching that parent-/subdeck for is:due -is:suspended -is:buried.

  2. You might also have “this deck” limits set on one or more of your decks that are different from the overall preset limit, so check for that.

  3. Have you run Tools > Check Database lately? Try that too.
