Max Interval for more buttons

Hi there,
I would love to see the possibility to set up different max intervals for specifc buttons. At least to “good” and “easy” buttons. For example, I’d like to set up an interval cap of 75 days to easy and 40 days to good.
Is there a way u can do this. Would be a big plus.

“Again” and “difficult” buttons are fine the way they are.

Lovin’ the app, by the way. Cheers.

How would you like to use this? Your workflow?

Exactly, for my workflow.
For example, there’s only a general max interval, for all buttons. Would be awesome it we could set up different max intervals for different buttons.
I just set the max interval up for 60 days and now the “easy” and “good” buttons reached the same interval. They’re both showing a 60 days delay.
Actually, the manual explains that would happen: “When the interval reaches the limit, Hard, Good and Easy will give the same delay.”

Almost the same delay. There’s a fuzz factor that is added for randomisation.

I think what would help is if you explain why you’re asking for this. Why do you think it would be useful for the grading button to have a max interval instead of the card having a max interval?

Unless those are pretend numbers for the sake of example, you’re also setting those maximums incredibly low, and guaranteeing you’ll do more work than necessary. Is that really what you want? Or perhaps are you at the stage when you don’t trust the scheduling algorithm yet?

Let me be clearer.
Over time, the “good” and “easy” buttons reach the same maximum interval limit. Let’s say I set it up for 3 months.
Then, at some point, a given card will show me a 3-months interval for both “good” and “easy” buttons (because they have reached the same maximum limit).
Let’s say I find that card a bit difficult and I think 3 months is too much time to get it back, in that case it would be great if the “good” button could offer me a shorter interval, for example, 2 months. So I could choose accordingly. Got it?

Yes, we all understand that you would like it that way – but you haven’t offered much explanation about why the grading button should be determinative. The reason Good and Easy are reaching the same interval for you is that you’re setting your max so low. You can keep that low max if you like, but then you’re going to reach it quickly.

Given your level of experience, I’m sure you already know – you shouldn’t be grading your answer based on how long you think is the right amount of time before you see the card. You should be grading your answer honestly and accurately. If seeing the time intervals on the grading buttons is distracting you from doing that, you should turn that off (in Tools > Preferences > Review).

If you find a card difficult to answer, you shouldn’t be choosing between Good and Easy at all – that’s a card you should grade Hard.
