Edit: I read in the manual that I might have to manually add this package so I’ve been trying that but complications with my MikTex installation have arose and so I will have to solve that first, and then I’ll update whether I could or could not solve this.

I also had complications with my MikeTex installation, and I don’t really know how I solved it; and also, that preview only works for Mathjax, which is different from LaTeX, as I got to know in the link.
The inconsistency is a bug in Anki, and is tracked on the issue tracker.
