MathJax failing to render, type in the answer

Whenever I create a basic type in the answer card, no add-ons or scripts, and I try to display MathJax in the box where you type in the information, it doesn’t render the formula.

I have no issues with MathJax in the editor or in simpler reveal the answer cards.

None of these cards are imported. All were created directly in the Anki editor.

Never mind, figured out that no HTML will render in those cards anyways.

You can add another field replacement to the template, without the type: filter. See Field Replacements - Anki Manual.

You can also use Memrise card template [support thread].
