Cards take more than 10s to show the answer and I have tried ALL the suggestions on docs ankiweb net troubleshooting. Had this issue first on my MacBook so I just switched to my ankimobile on my iPad which I prefer anyways, but now it’s both.
You’re saying it didn’t always have that problem? In that case: what exactly did you change?
- Did you update Anki?
- Did you update your OS?
- Did you change / modify your hardware?
- Did you change the card templates?
- …
Idk if it was after an update but I don’t think it’s that bc anki on my phone and iPad were fine. No major changes tbh. I’ve been using anki for like 5 years and have never encountered this big of an issue. It’s fine lol end of an era (I’m alr in my acceptance phase).
There no reason why this should be happening, so I don’t know if “acceptance” is the right path. If it has shifted from one platform to another, that makes it seem likely it’s related to a note type/card type. But it could also be something else related to the size of your collection [which is immense!].

- For you, Check Media and deleting all unused media is a must.
- I’d also recommend the Note Size add-on, which might help you identify notes that are overloaded with hidden text/HTML.
