I was not able to reproduce the issue:
- Using the Anki 25.09.2 app on macOS Tahoe 26.2, I opened the Browse window.
- Using the mouse scrollwheel, I was able to scroll up and down in the list of notes/cards smoothly.
- By clicking on the scroll box/thumb in the vertical scrollbar and dragging up and down, I was able to scroll up and down in the list of notes/cards smoothly.
If you are seeing problem behavior, please provide more details about exactly what steps you are performing and what you are seeing.

Before you respond with more details, you should also try everything on the Troubleshooting Checklist.
I am using macOS with MacBook’s trackpad. Scrolling does not feel 120Hz (ProMotion). It stutters a lot especially in browser when there are lots of cards/notes. Also, the newest Anki 25.09.2 offsets macOS window management every time system reboots. It’s impossible to make it stick to the “All Windows” option.
As a result I’m using Version 25.02.7 (1b882285)
Python 3.9.18 Qt 6.6.2 PyQt 6.6.1 right now, but the scrolling does not feel smooth, and I suspect it’s a common issue for macOS Anki.
It sounds like this could be related to ProMotion functionality and perhaps Qt.
For tracking purposes, could you please tell us the specs with which you saw the problem:
- MacBook model?
- macOS version?
- Video driver setting in Anki?
Could you also please confirm that you performed all the Troubleshooting Checklist steps, including specifically step 6 with all the driver options and also step 7?
