You can do something called setence mining where you learn words found in the input you consume. There are tools to do that automatically, e.g. Yomitan, Jidoujisho, Sub2Srs.

Hi,

  1. Could you please provide some links to guides on sentence mining? I’m having trouble fully understanding the concept.

  2. When memorizing, should I also learn the translation?

    For example, in cards like this one, do I need to recall the entire translation?

Just google it. There are many great videos, including one by Livakivi.

No you don’t, you just need a good idea of what’s it saying.
