Hey everyone! So happy to join the community, an a new user I am having a hard time getting consistency out of I/O. I have a card with multiple boxes, start studying it, and when I go back to make edits, such as grouping things together, it breaks my card all together by giving me “No cloze 2 found on card. Please either add a cloze deletion, or use the Empty Cards tool.“ And there seems to be no way to revert this besides deleting the card all together and readding it brand new with the inital grouping that I tried in the edit… Additionally while messing around in the settings today I made this WALL of text pop up and i cant get rid of it, please help
Could you export that note (either as a one-note deck or etc.) and send it here so someone could take a look at it?
Ah ok! I tried to upload the note once being exported but its saved as a .apkg and i cannot upload that directly here. Same issue with the .txt file.
Oh wow that was very helpful, so i do want to delete the cards via that tool, ok!
@Danika_Dakika It seems like you accidentally edited OP’s post instead of replying.
[I’ve never seen that happen, and I know it didn’t look like that when I initially responded. I restored OP’s comment, and I’ll just repost my comment down here.]
I’m assuming you’re using built-in IO? Adding/Editing - Anki Manual
One thing to consider is that each of the occlusion boxes you add creates another card. If you go back to remove an occlusion, that makes that card blank. [You get that “no cloze found” message for the same reason you would get it on a cloze note with multiple cloze-markers. Checks and Errors - Anki Manual ] Similarly, if you group that occlusion with another one, they become one card together, and the other card is no longer needed.
Since it sounds like you’re changing the occlusions deliberately, it’s fine for you to follow those instructions and use Tools > Empty Cards to get rid of them. Where you might want to consider this carefully is if you have already started studying 2 occlusions separately, and now you want to group them on a single card. You’re only going to be able to keep the review history for one – but you might not want to keep the review history for either.
That text is how IO occlusions are described in the “Occlusion” field of the note. Did you change something in the card template – perhaps adding a field replacement for {{Occlusion}}? That’s exactly what that would look like on your cards.
That is the list of fields. If you click “Cards …” instead, you’ll see the card templates. Field Replacements - Anki Manual
omg thank you so much
