What you’re talking about is adding another card type to your note type so that Anki makes an additional card for each of your notes. It sounds like you’re new to Anki, so take a minute to understand the difference between notes and cards.
I’m not sure what “usual way” you’ve found, but that sounds like it’s a matter of adjusting what field replacements show up where on the card templates. But let’s start from the beginning
Since you’re using a custom note type that came with that deck –
- Make sure all of your devices are in sync.
- This will affect every note that uses this note type.
- Add another card type to your note type –
Notes > Manage Note Types >[now is a great time to Rename this note type if it doesn’t already have a meaningful and descriptive name]> Cards > Options (at the top) > Add Card Type ...– makes an identical copy of your current card type [feel free to give these card types meaningful names as well]. - Switch what’s on the front/back templates – which might be as easy as clicking “Flip” [video has the old interface, but the details are all the same].
- Or if your existing card type is more complicated, you might need to do a bit more editing on the new card type.
