Hi, is there a way to add a button for “Reset sibling Card”?
I tried to find such button without success.
It’s because usually the front side is more important for me; it builds up the passive vocabulary.
When I review the back sides and forgot, sometimes I will reset the front sides too.
Production and Recognition are 2 separate skills, and how well you do with one doesn’t necessarily determine how well you’ll do with the other. You should let your sibling cards follow their own scheduling and not try to keep them matched up.
But if you do have another reason to “reset” a sibling card – you shouldn’t. The situation you describe is no reason to throw away your review history.
The most you’d want to do is grade that card Again – which you can do in Anki 25.07 (and later) with the “Grade Now” feature, or by using an add-on (like AJT Card Management), or by flagging the card and studying the flagged cards in a Filtered deck.
