Ios ipados 18 still cannot select text

Upgraded to OFFICIAL ios and ipados 18.

Still cannot select text by double tapping as before in edit mode.

This problem persisted throughout the betas and were never resolved.

There were no problems in other apps like safari or notes.

Both official public release of ios and ipados were already released yesterday. You can check the official Apple website. These are not betas anymore.

Understood. But we still need to connect this post to the descriptions of the issue in the other one.

Unfortunately updating to the latest Xcode has not resolved the issue. I’ve tried a couple of other approaches, but have not been able to find a workaround yet. I will keep trying.

Any updates? Selecting text in iOS 18 on my iPhone is very buggy and makes editing very frustrating :frowning:

Yay that’s so great to hear!!! Thank you @dae I don’t know how you’re able to do so much as 1 person haha. Any idea on when the release date for the stable build is?

All the other people contributing to Anki deserve credit too :slight_smile:

Hopefully the release will be around the end of the month, but it may slip a little if the computer version is not ready at that point.

I’m sorry to be annoying but has the update been delayed? The double tap to select text bug has been driving me crazy and made editing flash cards a nightmare :frowning: hoping for it to come out soon!

The beta versions have been working great. Tried for both ios and ipados version. The double tap to edit works.
