I have been studying the Core 2k/6k Japanese Vocabulary deck for over a year now with no problems. As of yesterday, I encountered an error that popped up when using it on my iPhone saying “invalid params provided”. I am not sure what to do about this and it is quite annoying because I am always on the move so doing the daily anki on my phone is a necessity. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Try this solution from last year first –
If that doesn’t do it, you can start working through the suggestions and things-tried in this thread from last month –
If it continues to happen, try to answer as many as you can of the questions that were asked there.
It happens when I press “good” or “again” and it sometimes happens when I just open the deck intially. However, this only happens on my mobile app, I am still able to use it on my mac.
Re-optimizing didn’t seem to work and I cannot find the place in settings where I can reset the parameters.
If you just delete the parameters in the field and save, that will reset you to the defaults. Or you can click the circle-arrow next to the field, and confirm you want to reset it.
If things are working on your Mac – what version of desktop Anki are you using there?
I redownloaded the app and then re-optimized again and it seems to be working, thank you. I will let you know if it comes up again.
