I’m trying to import more notes of the same type as one I have currently. I’ve created some new card types for this note type that don’t exist in the shared deck I’m merging in, and when importing them I seem to be getting the new notes, but the only cards being generated are the type that already exist in the shared deck, not for the card types I’ve created.
Is there any way to get import to generate cards for every card type that exists for that note type, or create the cards afterwards?
If you’ve added more card types to the note type – it’s not the same note type anymore!
Probably the easiest thing to do is to import the shared deck as-is, and then use Notes > Change Note Type to convert those notes to your custom type.
Does enabling the Merge note types option under the Updates dropdown help?
@Danika_Dakika Ah that seems to do it, importing without merging note types and then merging later with Change Note Type gets the cards to generate. Thanks 
@abdo That’s what I tried setting, it seems to get the note types merged but only generates cards for the card types that exist in the deck I’m importing, not my existing card types.
