I have delay when i reveiw my cards

Hello.

When i review my cards there is a delay (half a second). so after i press ‘Enter’ it takes an extra half a second until i see the next card.

There is a “problem allert” that pop’s out every time i restart my anki, I followed the instruction to solve the problem including: restart anki , re-download the app, i did check Database and still there is delay.

(To note: When i try to do my anki at the Ankiweb - there is no delay, and everything works fine)

When i did “check up media” i saw arround 7000 unused media files, what shouold i do with that ( is this the couse of the problem ?)

I added the “problem allert” and the picture from the “Checked media”

I would reallt appreciate your help

You should work your way through the Troubleshooting Checklist – Troubleshooting - Anki Manual – start with #2 (disable add-ons). It looks like you’ve got add-ons that aren’t playing nicely.

That won’t necessarily fix the delay, but I don’t think you’ll be able to figure out the delay without figuring out the bigger issues first.

That also might not be the cause for the delay, but it’s not great. The 72K unused files would generally occur naturally from importing shared decks that have attached media, and then deleting them. In an abundance of caution, Anki doesn’t delete those media files immediately. I would ordinarily recommend that you scan through that list of files and make sure none of them look important, but with that many you’d never know!

Anki has you covered either way. If you click “Delete Unused” at the bottom, Anki will move those into a Trash folder (and stop syncing them to your other devices!). Then you can check out your collection to make sure nothing shows up as broken. When you’re confident you don’t need them, run Check Media again, and you’ll see the button to “Empty Trash.”

You’ve also got nearly 7000 missing files – they look like a bunch of duplicates that were renamed by the OS [that telltale Windows pattern of numbering (1), (2)]. It’s worth looking into what notes are using those images, so you can clear up the issue.
