Anki Delay When Reviewing Cards (Showing Answer and Next Card)

Hello all, I’ve tried everything in the troubleshooting list, changing to every video driver, clearing unused media, checking database, uninstalling and reinstalling, starting in safe mode, etc. Every solution I’ve found online.

Despite this, I still have a considerable delay of a second or so when reviewing cards. The delay happens when showing answers and when moving to a new card. I have anki both on my laptop and on my desktop computer. I do not experience this on my desktop computer, only laptop.

Is this happening on all note types/card types? Or just certain ones?

All cards unfortunately. Notably though, I don’t have any lag at all on my phone or desktop computer. Using the same cards of course

Do you use custom fonts or scripts?
