How to set the order of my cards that need review

typically it seems that review cards appeared randomly, however is it possible to make them appear in some order, like new ones come first?

You have several options here:

Deck options > review sort order

The different options are self-explanatory, but you can also check the tooltips (2.1.45) or the manual.

Experimenting a little bit with the deck options is one of the best things you can do to learn how to use anki effectively.
