Deleting accounts is a bit disrespectful to the people who took the time to reply to your previous questions. Your account can be anonymised, which will change your name, and remove the ability to log in.

I don’t want to be rude, but this was really really bad response. You didn’t explained that person is deleting their MAIN account and not the FORUM account, which resulted in me deleting my whole collection and it was in such a critical time in my studies, that if I were not able to recover it, this message would be unpleasant on a different level. Your comment have 851 views as of this moment and I can only imagine how many people had uselessly death in their eyes, because admin pointed them to NUKE their Anki account. SO PLEASE, if you want to do something stupid as that, at least completely explain the risks of doing that and that people are better off without it, if they want their Anki collection to survive unharmed. Thanks

The requests in this Site Feedback thread are about deleting accounts on this site, the Anki Forums. We have clearly said that we will anonymize their accounts for them instead and that it is irreversible. Then in the last request, the user asks to also delete their AnkiWeb account – which I clearly said they could do themselves and is also irreversible.

I’m sorry that you misunderstood these posts and gave yourself a fright – but there was nothing “stupid” about my responses, and I don’t appreciate your tone. Please read more carefully.
