Haven't used Anki in a while... everything disappeared?

So this might be a bit long and confusing, but your help is appreciated as I’m freaking out a little bit!

I used to use Anki on my laptop (Mac) and eventually purchased the mobile version for my iPhone and iPad as well. I believe all my decks were synced between all three devices and AnkiWeb. This was about 3-4 years ago. I recently decided to use Anki again, but when I logged into AnkiWeb, none of my old decks show up. Trouble is, Anki got deleted off my laptop and iPhone. I’m having trouble downloading the Mac version, and while I downloaded the iPhone version, it shows none of my decks, same as AnkiWeb. The only device that currently still has my old decks is my iPad; however, I’m not sure how to sync it to AnkiWeb and my other devices. So I guess my questions are:

  1. Does Anki automatically delete old decks/accounts?

  2. How do I log into my AnkiWeb account on my iPad while preserving the decks that are on there?

  3. How to I sync all my old decks across my devices and the web version?

Thank you in advance!

Yes, decks from inactive accounts are deleted: AnkiWeb account removal - Anki FAQs. You can log into your account on the iPad and sync your content from the iPad to your Anki web account again and from there to other devices. If there is some dialogue while syncing your iPad the first time make sure to choose upload to AnkiWeb.

Ohhh that explains it. I must have missed the emails about my data being deleted :frowning: Alas, I think I was able to export the decks onto my desktop and I finally succeeded in downloading the desktop version of Anki so I was able to sync. Thank you for the clarification, I’ll make sure to keep my account active from now on
