GIFs don't replay on second review

Hi everyone. I love Anki ;).

Recently I created a deck that depends on non-looping GIFs playing, it’s essentially a

“What was flashed in the GIF”-task

which works lovely for me the first time,
but whenever cards go into learning, they do not start over.

The behaviour was seen on a PC running Windows 11 using Version ⁨2.1.47 (dc156f34)⁩ and Python 3.8.6 Qt 5.14.2 PyQt 5.14.2

Which I assume is because Anki keeps the Card loaded, therefore it thinks that it has played already and does not start over, but what do I know.

Would be great if GIFs would play again on second, third, etc view by default or at least by option.

That was my feature request, however if you have workarounds, addons and the like, please feel free to let me know in the comments (I’d like to be able to use my deck haha :))

Hi, you can use and addon to refresh Anki’s web view

Refresh WebView (avoid duplicate javascript)

Addon: 458841364

It works correctly to refresh a gif initially when a new card is shown and also in the reviewer.
