FSRS workload and intervals

Hi,
I have a small issue and wondering if anyone can help. When I ‘optimise’ my FSRS it says I have 61 reviews which is wrong considering I do anywhere between 150-250 cards a day with a minimum of 80 of them being the ‘green’ reviews. You can see in the screenshots I’ve provided. I have also included my general settings to see if anyone thinks I should change anything. Also when I evaluate I get a value of 12% (??) and would be grateful if anyone could tell me what that means exactly. The other small issue I have is once I have seen a new card for the first time, my intervals are 1 day, then 3 days, then quite often 17 days??? The jump just confuses me as to why? I have recently got an add-on that only allows pass or fail, no hard or easy. Admittedly I used hard a fair few times, but not all the time. I’m not sure if this is the reason for some of the issues, and if so will FSRS figure this all out if I just stick to it? Thanks in advance.

I think your material might just be too easy and or the algorithm hasnt adjusted since you started using pass/fail, u could look in to this Reddit - Dive into anything

[I split you off to your own post because you were responding to an existing thread about something else. Please don’t hijack unrelated threads.]

  1. Are you sure that you’re looking at the right Deck Options? If this is the options preset for the parent deck(s), but not for the subdecks the cards are actually in, the cards won’t be included in optimization here. This options preset says it is used by 19 decks, but that doesn’t matter if they aren’t the right decks.
  2. Have you been experimenting with the “ignore cards reviewed before” setting? I notice that it doesn’t have the default date anymore. That date is far enough ago that it shouldn’t matter, but if you’ve been changing it to other dates, that could be the reason.
  1. You can find the explanation for RMSE in the manual – Deck Options - Anki Manual – but it’s not going to give you any useful answers until you have a LOT more review history.
  1. I think you should stick with the default parameters until you have more countable review history.
  1. If you have a history of misusing Hard when you should have graded those answers Again, you’re going to need to fix that. See the link posted earlier.
  1. Your Desired Retention (DR) is too high – higher than most users would ever need to set it. Unless you have a reason for choosing that, you should change it back to 90% – or to another value in line with your prior retention results.
  2. A max interval of 90 days is far too low. If you don’t want the default of 100 years, something in the 3-5-year range is usually good (1000-2000 days), but don’t set it to anything under 1 year.

Thanks so much for your help. Done everything you have suggested and now going to wait a little while to see how the new settings do
