I’m using the latest Anki desktop version (25.02.4) on Windows 10. I have multiple decks and want to use the FSRS scheduling method for one specific deck (let’s call it Deck X) while keeping the default Anki scheduler for the others.
To do this, I went to Deck X’s options, cloned a new preset specifically for it, enabled FSRS in that preset, and saved the options. However, when I checked the options for my other decks, I noticed that FSRS was enabled for them too, even though they were using the default Anki preset. So, I disabled FSRS for those decks and saved the changes.
Then, I went back to Deck X’s options and found that FSRS was disabled there as well! In short, despite cloning a unique preset for Deck X, enabling or disabling FSRS seems to affect all presets globally.
Could anyone guide me on how to resolve this issue so I can use FSRS for Deck X only while keeping the default scheduler for other decks? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
In the same profile, you cannot select which presets have FSRS applied on them.
You can either use two different profiles (and subsequently two different accounts if you want to sync) or you can choose to enable FSRS for all (or none).
Thank you so much for your quick response and clarification! I just wanted to double-check if you’re certain about this limitation. In a previous version of Anki (I believe it was desktop version 25.02.2), I was able to clone a preset for one specific deck and enable FSRS for it while keeping the default Anki scheduler for my other decks without any issues. However, after updating to 25.02.4, it seems this functionality no longer works, and FSRS settings are applied globally across all presets.
Could this be a change introduced in the newer version, or am I missing something? Any additional insights would be greatly appreciated!
