FSRS Parameters Difficulty

Hello guys,

i’ve been using FSRS for a while now. But if noticed something recently that is weird to me and i don’t understand. So sometimes when I answer with good (3) the new Interval is lower than the one it was on before, and also when i answer with good (3) the difficulty of the card increases.

These are my Params:
0.9688, 20.1456, 23.2003, 26.1652, 6.7670, 0.5187, 2.7161, 0.0010, 1.5256, 0.3943, 1.0403, 2.0239, 0.0815, 0.3965, 2.4619, 0.0077, 3.3270, 0.4552, 0.5290

It’s trained on 30.000 Repetitions and Log loss is 0.3464 and RMSE (bins) is 2.74 %.

Can you help me with this?

Was the FSRS optimized between reviews?

Yes I frequently optimized it.

The interval and difficulty of the card is calculated based on the review history and FSRS parameters. Since the FSRS parameters change during optimization, the next interval and complexity may change significantly.
