Drastic increase in number of due cards after FSRS?

Hi, I’ve recently updated to the new scheduler and am using this as well as the add-on allowing for “easy” weekends (FSRS4AnkiHelper). For around the first week or so, I noticed an uptick in the number of due cards, around 20% more than I would have had under the old scheduler. Now, three weeks in, I’m consistently receiving around 300%-400% more cards than I did under the old scheduler. Does anyone know what might be happening and how to fix this?

What target retention have you set?

Decrease your desired retention will help. I guess your previous real retention is lower than 90%. The default desired retention of FSRS 90%. Higher retention usually means higher workload.
