Deleting cards that were studied today, should it effect if i have reached my daily limit?

Hello!
I was wondering if it was intended design or this might be a good future improvement that If I create a new deck and add notes to it, study the notes up to my daily limit, delete all or some of the notes, as I no longer plan to study them, this will then seemly not effect if I have reached my daily limit. If I delete a card that was studied today would it make sense that I could subtract one from number tracking if I have reached my daily limit.
Thank you for your time!

You could use this addon to remove the card history before deleting. You option sounds good in theory, but because some people would rather retain that review history (they wanted to review it, they were able to now they don’t need it, but they don’t want to lose the review data), it’s a slight conflict of interests.
Perhaps there could be an checkbox to delete card history of all cards of the selected in a future version.

This is a very informative response! May i ask, by review history, that is like the statistics on all the reviews you have done, the different data that shows on the graphs ? I see what you mean how it could effect that if you were to as i suggested decrease the " number that tracks if i have reached my daily limit". I would just wonder also if there would be a way to keep the old review data by just maybe not subtracting from the review count of the day but instead increase the max, that way less/no data lost.

Every time you study and grade a card, Anki makes a record of that review. If you take a look at the Card Info for a card, the rows of data below should give you a sense of what each entry looks like.

I don’t think there will be a feature to delete that when notes are deleted (for all that cards made from that note). The situation you outline – introducing and studying New cards today, then deleting those cards – should be extremely rare. [If it’s happening for you frequently, it’s worth considering why that is.] But regardless – you did actually study cards today, so that amount of time spent, and actions taken, should remain recorded.

You can do this easily right now. If you want to increase today’s New card limit, open your deck options, and enter a higher “Today only” limit.
